We have good central heating but wanted a focal point. Also, thinking of possible power cuts in the winter. This fire really pumps out the heat even on low. We' ve had to move the CH thermostat - toasty in the lounge, but turned off the heating everywhere else! I initially thought £250 Installation was punchy but I was wrong. The survey, removal of the old fire, new piping etc. was well worth it. More work than you imagine.
